The Los Angeles Angels beat the Minnesota Twins 5-4 Tuesday night, but history may remember June 14th as the night Angels fans banded together to achieve a world record ... for opening umbrellas.
It did not rain in Los Angeles Tuesday, but the Angels gave fans free umbrellas and coordinated a mass opening, setting a world record for "most umbrellas opened in a confined space."
Breaking world records is a thing the Angels love to do. In previous seasons, fans set the world record for the largest gathering of people wearing sombreros (on Cinco de Mayo, no less), and most people wearing Santa hats. Eariler this year, the Angels nabbed the record for the largest gathering of people using selfie sticks.
#Angels now own the @GWR for the largest gathering of people using selfie sticks!
