Indians right-hander Mitch Talbot has been activated to start the series finale against the Boston Red sox.
Talbot has been sidelined since April 17 with a strained elbow. Before getting hurt, Talbot was 1-0 with a 1.46 ERA in two starts. He made two rehab starts with Triple-A Columbus, allowing three runs in nine innings.
To make room for Talbot, the club optioned reliever Josh Judy to the Clippers.
Talbot was a surprise for the Indians last season, when he won 10 games as a rookie. He came over from Tampa Bay in the trade for catcher Kelly Shoppach.
