ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) Johnny Giavotella hit a two-run homer and Kole Calhoun added a solo shot and doubled in another run, as the Los Angeles Angels defeated the Minnesota Twins 5-4 on Tuesday night.

Five Angels relievers held the Twins scoreless over the last four innings to secure the victory for Jhoulys Chacin (3-4). Huston Street pitched a perfect ninth for his seventh save.

The Angels had lost seven of their last eight, and were 0-4 against the Twins (20-44).

Santana has lost his last five starts with an ERA of 7.71. He allowed five runs and 10 hits.
