The Giants play the Dodgers again Monday night in the first of three games in Los Angeles after sweeping them in San Francisco last week. Reliever Sergio Romo spoke to the Giants’ radio home, KNBR, about playing the Dodgers. Asked about why the team played so well against their rival:

“I honestly don’t know if it’s just we’re playing them or if they kind of bring the best out of us. I’m not too sure. Every time we play them, it’s close games, high-intensity games and there is a lot going on. Fans are really into it, which is amazing, and it’s fun baseball.”

Romo pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings with two strikeouts against the Dodgers in the recent series.
