Fans trash Trout after Mayweather tweet -- but is it fair?

For most, Mike Trout is the face of baseball, a supremely talented athlete and seemingly likeable guy.

For most, Floyd Mayweather is the face of boxing, a supremely talented athlete . . . but that’s where the comparisons end.

Until this weekend. Before Mayweather beat Manny Pacquiao in the “Fight of the Century” which turned about to be the Rip-off of the Century for many who dropped $100 to watch it, the reigning AL MVP sent out this seemingly innocuous tweet during the pre-fight buildup when many fans and celebs were making their predictions on social media.

But when the tweet touting Mayweather, an athlete with years of domestic violence allegations and convictions against him, the outcome was predictably unpleasant.
