Duvall homers and has 3 hits, Reds beat Brewers 7-6

PHOENIX (AP) Adam Duvall had three hits, including a two-run homer in the first inning, and the Cincinnati Reds beat the Milwaukee Brewers 7-6 on Friday.

Tyler Holt put Cincinnati ahead to stay with a two-run single in the eighth. Reds starter Anthony DeSclafani struck out seven in 4 2-3 innings but also allowed four runs and six hits.

Duvall hit his second homer and added a third-inning single off Milwaukee starter Chase Anderson, who allowed four runs (one earned) and lowered his ERA to 10.13 in four Cactus League starts.

Billy Hamilton was 0 for 3 for Cincinnati and played center field for the first time since March 2 after having offseason shoulder surgery and dealing with shoulder soreness the past two weeks.

Chris Carter hit his third home run for the Brewers and Ryan Braun had an RBI double in his second appearance of the spring.
