LOS ANGELES (AP) The Los Angeles Dodgers have acquired outfielder Chris Heisey in a trade with the Cincinnati Reds.
Heisey, who turns 30 this month, hit .222 with eight homers and 22 RBIs in 119 games last season. He was picked by Cincinnati in the 17th round of the 2006 draft and made his major league debut with the Reds in 2010.
Heisey was eligible for arbitration. The Reds also announced Tuesday that they had declined to offer 2015 contracts to right-handed relievers Logan Ondrusek and Curtis Partch.
Cincinnati received minor league right-hander Matt Magill in the trade with Los Angeles. The 25-year-old Magill was 7-6 with a 5.21 ERA in 36 appearances, 12 of them starts, for Triple-A Albuquerque last season.
