Detroit Tigers reliever Bruce Rondon activated from disabled list, optioned to Triple-A

The Detroit Tigers activated reliever Bruce Rondon off the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Triple-A Toledo on Monday.

The moves is mostly procedural as Rondon continues to build up his arm strength as he works his way back from bicipital tendinitis.

Rondon is 1-2 with a 10.38 ERA and has allowed 15 hits and five walks, with nine strikeouts in In 8 2/3 innings of work for the Mud Hens.
