Updated Mar. 4, 2020 1:10 p.m. ET

CHICAGO (AP) Dexter Fowler has left the Chicago Cubs' game against the Pittsburgh Pirates because of discomfort in his right hamstring.

He came up hobbling after running out a grounder to third leading off the bottom of the first inning on Saturday. Albert Almora Jr. replaced him in center field in the second.

Fowler, who re-signed with Chicago in late February, came into the game batting .291 with seven home runs. The Cubs were a major league-leading 45-20.
