Pirates catcher Francisco Cervelli tied a record that was over 100 years old on Wednesday when he caught his 56th consecutive scoreless inning.

However, Cervelli wasn't willing to take the credit.

"It's not me. It's them," Cervelli said to Pirates.com, referring to the pitchers. "All I do is put down my glove and catch the ball."

Cervelli went on and continued to parise the pitching staff saying the streak they've put together has been truly remarkable.

"They've been incredible," Cervelli said. "I've never been a part of anything like this."
