Cards' Hazelbaker goes from charging the mound to clearing the fences vs. Marlins' Urena

Consider it the ultimate uppercut.

The Cardinals’ Jeremy Hazelbaker took the Marlins’ Jose Urena deep in the second inning of Friday night’s 11-6 win, but that was just a footnote to a much bigger story.

During a Triple-A game in late June, Urena threw a high-and-tight pitch to Hazelbaker, igniting a wild brawl that began when Hazelbaker charged the mound.

And as you can tell from the look Hazelbaker gave Urena as he rounded the bases Friday, revenge was sweet. In fact, he told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the homer was “satisfying.”
