Bryce Harper was ejected from Wednesday’s Nationals-Diamondbacks game after yelling at home plate umpire Rob Drake for calling him out on a check swing.

Harper was called out to end the top of the 7th Wednesday during a 5-5 game and was livid. There was a 2-2 count and Harper felt like he held up on his check swing. He demanded Drake check the call with the third base umpire. Drake did not and instead tossed Harper, who was enraged and in his face.

Nats manager Matt Williams was also tossed from the game.

Harper, man, that is one intense dude. And sorry to break it to you, but I think you went halfway, so calling you out was fair. Whether it’s in the minors or now the majors, some things haven’t changed for Harper.
