The Atlanta Braves won their game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, 2-1, but it didn't come without a major scare.

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, both left fielder Eury Perez and center fielder Cameron Maybin collided due to a miscommunication while the two were converging on a fly ball in the left-center gap.

Perez lied on the warning track in pain after the collision, grabbing his torso region, which had the team worried that he had sustained a serious injury.

"You going to ask me how I am? I was a little nervous," manager Fredi Gonzalez said after the game. "I thought we were going to lose two players out there but luckily (Maybin) is OK and Eury checked out. It was more his torso than it was the head. There's nothing there so hopefully we dodged a bullet."

While Perez, who took the brunt of the collision, didn't have any severe injury to speak of, he was a bit shaken up and will likely have some bruising in the area where he was hit.
