Billy Joel to return to Fenway Park for summer concert

The Boston Red Sox announced Thursday that Billy Joel will return to Fenway Park this year for a summer concert.

The Piano Man will perform at Fenway on Thursday, Aug. 18, making him the first artist to play three consecutive years at America's Most Beloved Ballpark.

While Joel is known for being a die-hard Yankees fan, both the Red Sox and Live Nation are excited for his return to Boston. "Billy loves playing Fenway and we are delighted to bring him back," Live Nation New England president Don Law said at a press conference Thursday.

Tickets for Joel's concert go on sale to the public at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 via RedSox.com/BillyJoel.
