Atlanta Braves: Everyone Congratulates Brian Snitker On Landing Managerial Job

Congrats Snitker On The Manager Job!
By now, you’ve most likely heard the news out of the Atlanta Braves organization: Brian Snitker has been offered and accepted a one-year deal with the organization to manage the team in 2017.
We can remove the “interim” from Snit’s title…he is now our Manager
After a horrible start to the 2016 season and the firing of former manager Fredi Gonzalez, Snitker took over a team going nowhere. He energized and controlled the locker room that put together a great run in the month of September to close out the season.
If the Braves didn’t have the month that they did, would Snitker have this job? Possibly not, but that’s how jobs are won and lost…you do your job, you’re given others.
It’s been said half-a-million times now that the players in Atlanta really enjoy having Snitker has their manager and were pushing for his return. That probably had something to do with the organization making their decision to go with Snitker over Ron Washington or Bud Black. If you haven’t already, take a look at Dan’s thoughts on this situation.
You hear and read from the media about how much the players liked Snitker has the manager in Atlanta, but it’s different when it comes directly from them.
Since the announcement many players and former players have congratulated Snit with the job. I’m sure he’s ready to get going with the 2017 season, because as of right now he only has a one-year deal. Snit along with General Manager John Coppollela, Terry Pendleton and Fred McGriff are down in Florida attending the instructional games.
Well deserved Snit!! https://t.co/iU2iwDkWX3

In 1977, the Braves decided to give the chance of a lifetime to a young undrafted catcher out of the University of New Orleans. Though his career never took off, he did stay putting on the cleats until the 1980 season. He reached the Triple-A level in 1978, but never the major leagues.
After his playing days were over, he got a managerial role with the Single-A Braves at the age of 26-years-old. Since then, he’s never left.
40 years Brian Snitker has been with the Braves organization….FORTY YEARS!
You can honestly say Snit has earned this job and now rightfully so. If you believe in the concept of promoting from within and being loyal to your company, this is your guy.
Snitker is the 13th full-time manager that the Braves have had since the organization moved from Milwaukee to Atlanta in 1966.
Congrats Snit and we’re looking counting on you!!
