OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) Khris Davis homered in his first appearance before the Oakland home crowd and the Athletics concluded the spring training schedule by beating the San Francisco Giants 4-1 Saturday.

Matt Chapman also homered as the A's ended a five-game losing streak. There were eight total hits in the preseason series finale of the Bay Bridge Series, the final tuneup for the clubs before their season openers Monday.

Davis connected against Matt Cain leading off the third, when the A's added on two more thanks to an assist from new Giants center fielder Denard Span.

Span's two errors on one play trying to secure Jed Lowrie's deep flyball allowed Lowrie to round the bases for a 3-0 lead in the third. Span missed the catch and the ball got away on the warning track.

Ehire Adrianza homered on a 3-2 pitch in the ninth to keep San Francisco from being shut out.
