World Series Champion and former Major League Baseball All-Star Nick Swisher is a studio analyst for FOX Sports. Swisher contributes to MLB WHIPAROUND, FS1’s daily baseball studio program during the baseball season as well as regular guest appearances on FS1 daily studio shows. He joined FOX Sports in 2017.

Swisher, a fan-favorite with an infectious personality was a switch-hitter, outfielder and first baseman for five different franchises over his 12-year Major League Baseball career. Drafted 16th overall in 2002, Swisher played for the Oakland Athletics (2004-2007), Chicago White Sox (2008), New York Yankees (2009-2012), Cleveland Indians (2013-2015) and Atlanta Braves (2015). He won the World Series as a member of the New York Yankees in 2009.

Swisher was selected to the American League All-Star team in 2010 as a member of the New York Yankees, where he played an integral part in earning the team’s record 27th World Series title in 2009. Swisher finishes his career with a .249 batting average, 803 RBIs and 245 homeruns.

Swisher was born in Columbus, Ohio, but grew up in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Before his professional career, Swisher played college baseball for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Swisher is the son of former MLB catcher Steve Swisher, who played for various National League baseball clubs in the 1970s and 1980s.
