Gets Bills to AFC Championship Game
Allen completed 23 of 37 attempts for 206 yards and a passing touchdown, adding seven rushes for three yards during Saturday's 17-3 divisional-round win against the Ravens. He fumb...
Impact
Allen's Bills entered the contest at a perfect 7-0 record since Week 12, with the third-year signal-caller compiling 20 total TDs and an NFL-best 1,840 passing yards over his past six outings. Buffalo came out firing through the air with pass attempts on 19 of the team's first 20 plays from scrimmage, but Allen's output in passing yardage was the MVP candidate's fourth-lowest total of the 2020 campaign. Heroic statistical contributions weren't required, as Baltimore struggled to score throughout the night. A head injury to Lamar Jackson on the final play of the third quarter further stifled the Ravens' attack. In what will either be a home game against the Browns or a road trip to take on the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game, Allen has an opportunity to push Buffalo to its first Super Bowl appearance since 1994.

Three totals TDs in first playoff W
Allen completed 26 of 35 passes for 324 yards and two touchdowns while adding 54 yards and a touchdown on 11 rushing attempts in Saturday's 27-24 wild-card round win over the Colts...
Impact
Allen showcased his creativity and improved decision-making on a three-yard touchdown pass to Dawson Knox late in the first quarter, flipping the ball to the tight end when he saw Knox wide open in the end zone on a play that was designed to be a quarterback draw. He then gave the Bills a 14-10 lead just before halftime with a five-yard touchdown run to cap a controversial drive that included a pair of sideline catches by Gabriel Davis that were both ruled in bounds to account for 56 yards, followed by an interception called back on a penalty and another would-be interception overturned on replay. Allen added a 35-yard touchdown pass to favorite target Stefon Diggs to take a 24-10 lead early in the fourth quarter, and though Buffalo's offense largely stalled after that, Indianapolis' comeback bid came up short. With his first career playoff win in the books, Allen will have another home playoff game in the AFC divisional round next week.

Impact
Allen was intercepted on the opening drive but responded with a pair of second-quarter touchdown passes to Isaiah McKenzie and another to John Brown to help the Bills take a 28-6 lead into halftime. With Buffalo feeling comfortable about its chances of securing the No. 2 seed in the AFC, Allen got the rest of the afternoon off. The 2018 first-round pick made a third-year leap in 2020, throwing for 4,564 yards and a 37:10 TD:INT to go with 421 yards and eight touchdowns on 102 rushing attempts to lead Buffalo to a 13-3 record.

Active for Week 17
Allen is active for Sunday's game against the Dolphins and will presumably start at quarterback, though he could be rested at some point during the contest, Michael Giardi of NFL N...
Impact
Allen's favorite target, Stefon Diggs, is also suiting up, but some of the key inactives such as Tre'Davious White, Jerry Hughes and Mario Addison should provide a clue as to how the Bills are viewing this game, which can only dictate whether they'll be the No. 2 or No. 3 seed in the AFC, and even the latter would require a Pittsburgh win. It's impossible to predict how some of these Week 17 games will go, but the best guess would seem to be that Allen and the main active players will stay out there long enough to stay polished for next week's playoff game. Giardi notes that Allen is 40 yards from breaking the Bills' single-season passing record, so head coach Sean McDermott could choose to pull the quarterback in favor of backup Matt Barkley shortly after Allen establishes a new franchise record.

Rest candidate for Week 17
Allen may be a candidate to receive rest in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, if the Bills don't make him a healthy inactive for the contest, Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic report...
Impact
The Bills head into the regular-season finale in the driver's seat for the AFC's No. 2 seed, but they would drop to third in the conference standings with a loss and a Steelers win over the Browns, which may then result in Buffalo losing out on a potential home game in the divisional round. While that gives the Bills at least some incentive to put out their best squad Week 17, head coach Sean McDermott could look to manage the workloads of key players like Allen carefully, with an eye on ensuring the team heads into the postseason in optimal health. According to Chris Brown of the Bills' official site, McDermott said earlier in the week that he has a plan in place for how key players will be used against Miami, but he's choosing to keep it internal. With that in mind, Allen could be a risky fantasy option even if he avoids the inactive list and draws the start, as there's a real possibility he may only play a series or two before turning the offense over to backup Matt Barkley.

Picks Patriots apart
Allen completed 27 of 36 passes for 320 yards and four touchdowns in Monday night's 38-9 win over the Patriots. He also rushed four times for 35 yards.
Impact
Allen turned in another dazzling display while only playing a few downs into the fourth quarter. The star signal-caller connected with top target Stefon Diggs on three of his touchdowns, including a 50-yarder that broke the game open prior to halftime. With four scores total, Allen set a new Bills franchise record with 34 passing touchdowns on the season, and he topped 300 yards through the air for the eighth time this term as well. Overall, it was an additional outstanding showing for Allen in his tremendous third season, which he'll now aim to close out strong in Week 17 versus the Dolphins.

The translation is the running quarterback took some hits in Saturday's win over the Broncos, but he'll be perfectly fine for Week 16 action, especially with an extra day to rest his bumps and bruises with the Bills having yet another prime time game Monday against the rival Patriots.
