New Hampshire secures a win vs. Stony Brook 31-13

Sean Goldrich connected with Justin Mello for three touchdowns

as New Hampshire defeated Stony Brook 31-13 Saturday.

Goldrich threw for 186 yards and had scoring passes of 23, 15

and 36 yards. Each touchdown pass landed in Mello’s hands as he

surpassed 100 yards receiving and led the Wildcats (4-3, 3-1 CAA)

with eight catches. Chris Setian picked up the remaining New

Hampshire touchdown on a short 1-yard rush midway through the

second quarter.

Stony Brook (3-4, 1-3) grabbed a small lead in the first quarter

when Graham Ball kicked a 21-yard field goal. The Wildcats

responded with a safety and shortly after a touchdown, taking a

lead that they would not relent. Ball kicked another field goal to

finish out the half 16-6. A TD pass by Lyle Negron nearing the end

of the third marked the last points for the Seawolves.
