Alabama 6½- to 7-point favorite in title game vs. Clemson

With Thursday’s semifinal wins, Clemson and Alabama are headed to the national title game on Jan. 11 in Glendale, Ariz.

Before No. 2 ‘Bama even put the finishing touches on beating third-ranked Michigan State 38-0 (the Tide led 38-0 in the fourth quarter), listed the Tide as a 6½-point favorite for the title game.

Clemson, the No. 1 team in the country which remained undefeated (14-0) with a 37-17 victory over No. 4 Oklahoma in Thursday’s Orange Bowl, still isn’t getting any respect.

The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook opened the line at -7 in favor of Alabama, with an over/under of 53½.
