Impact The freshman wide out found himself on the receiving end of Frank Gore Jr's fourth passing touchdown. The score tied the game up at 24 with 3:52 left in the third quarter. Mims finished 2022 with 379 yards and three touchdowns.

Jason Brownlee - Bounces back with big game Brownlee caught three of seven targets for 72 yards and one touchdown.
Impact The senior wideout returned to form after catching just one pass in Week 13. Brownlee's touchdown came on a 26 yard play from Trey Lowe, which would give the Golden Eagles a 31-24 lead that they would not relinquish. Lowe finished his senior season with 891 yards receiving and 8 touchdowns.

Jakarius Caston - Over 100 scrimmage yards in victory Caston caught all four of his targets for 94 yards and one touchdown, adding nine yards running.
Impact Caston got the scoring started in the Lending Tree Bowl with a 19 yard score in the first quarter. This was the junior receiver's first time going over 100 yards in a game this season.

Trey Lowe - Two touchdowns in bowl win Lowe completed seven of 16 passes for 170 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday's win over Rice.
Impact Lowe was effective if not outstanding, versus Rice. Lowe lost two fumbles to the Owls, matching his turnover total since taking over as the starter for Southern Miss, in Week 10. The signal caller capped a 98-yard touchdown drive in the fourth quarter with a strike to Jason Brownlee that would prove to be the go ahead score for the Golden Eagles.
