D.J. Crowther - Finds end zone in opener Crowther recorded 14 carries for 42 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 19-9 win against Florida International.
Impact Crowther accounted for the USF's only touchdown of the game Saturday, punching in a one-yard score. The running back split work with Jason Collins as the two combined for 31 rushing attempts, leading the Bulls' ground attack. Both running backs should split snaps once again against Army next Saturday.

The third-year gunslinger tossed for 1,010 yards, eight touchdowns and two interceptions on 62.3% completion with the Tigers last fall, adding 48 yards and a score on the ground.

Considering his decent production with Miss State and LSU, the hope for both him and USF is that he can adapt to a slightly lower level of mid-major FBS football and establish himself as a top option for the 2026 Bulls.

Impact It is unknown why Smith sat out South Florida's spring game. The wide receiver has been regularly healthy throughout his USF tenure, which includes annual growth in the wide receiver's statistics. Just last year, Smith logged career-highs in receptions (11) and receiving yards (151), good enough that he enters this season as one of South Florida's most promising wideouts.
