Jaxon Smolik - Shines in spring scrimmage Smolik (wrist) tossed three touchdowns at Temple's spring scrimmage, per 247Sports.
Impact Smolik appears to have completely healed from his wrist injury that limited him to two appearances last season. The gunslinger is expected to be the Owls' starter this fall, and he reportedly looks the part in spring camp.

Tyler Douglas - Returns to Temple as WR Douglas will return to Temple, where he'll play wideout, per the program's 2026 roster.
Impact Douglas spent the first three years of his career as a quarterback with the Owls, and didn't attempt a single pass. He elected to enter the transfer portal in December, but has since returned to Temple's football program, this time as a receiver. He should have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Samuel Brown V - Transfers to Temple Brown will transfer to Temple, per the program's 2026 roster.
Impact Brown spent four years at Rutgers, and curiously got less involved with each season. The tailback ran for 274 yards and three touchdowns as a true freshman, but by the time his senior season ended, he had run for just 38 yards in that campaign. Brown will look to revitalize his career with the Owls, where he has one more year of eligibility remaining.

Ajani Sheppard - Headed to Temple Sheppard will transfer to Temple, per his personal X account.
Impact Sheppard spent two seasons at Rutgers and this past fall with Washington State, and hardly saw the field. He has 23 career passing yards and 34 career rushing yards. He'll look to finally make an impact on a quarterback room upon his arrival to Temple.

Jaxon Smolik - Commits to Temple Smolik (wrist) has committed to Temple, he announced.
Impact Smolik spent his last three seasons at Penn State, redshirting in 2023 and missing the entire 2024 season due to injury. He appeared in three games during 2025, but didn't attempt a pass, instead logging four rush attempts. He'll likely serve as a backup option at Temple, with the hopes of landing a starting job down the line. He battled a wrist injury late last season.

Joey Schlaffer - Going to Temple Schlaffer is transferring to Temple, he announced via X.
Impact Schlaffer will join the Owls after hitting the portal back in November. The 6-foot-5 tight end recorded one catch for 19 yards and a touchdown across two seasons with Penn State. He should have two years of eligibility left.

Gevani McCoy - Throws 46 yards in relief McCoy was two of five passing for 46 yards during Friday's 52-25 defeat versus North Texas.
Impact McCoy checked in late during Friday's loss, and it's the second straight game he's appeared. The Oregon State transfer had a disappointing season, though, as he had 256 yards and two touchdowns in the backup role.

Jay Ducker - Finishes career with a score Ducker totaled 12 rushes for 63 yards and one touchdown and gathered in one of five targets for five yards during Friday's 52-25 loss against North Texas.
Impact In his final college game, Ducker tallied a rushing touchdown for the first time in three games. In a season where he surpassed 3,000 career rushing yards, the Sam Houston State transfer totaled 809 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns, to go along with two receiving scores.

Evan Simon - Can't reach 100 yards in loss Simon completed 10 of 27 passes for 82 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Friday's 52-25 loss to North Texas. He also had six rushes for eight yards.
Impact Simon had a rough go against North Texas Friday night, failing to hit 100 yards and lead Temple to bowl eligibility. The senior ends the final season of his collegiate career with 2,097 passing yards and an impressive 25:2 touchdown-to-interception ratio.
