Winston Wright Jr. - Catches long TD Saturday Wright gathered in all three targets for 72 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 21-19 defeat versus Appalachian State.

Impact Wright caught a 65-yard touchdown on the third play of Saturday's game, his first FBS touchdown since 2021. He has had a strong start to the 2024 season, with 13 catches (on 13 targets) for 162 yards and one touchdown through three games. He has established a nice connection with Jake Garcia early on and will hope to build off of that as the season progresses.

Impact Smith led the team in receptions and targets Saturday, gaining 56 yards. Winston Wright outgained Smith in yardage, but the bulk of that came on a 65-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Smith has had a productive and consistent start to the season and has established himself as Jake Garcia's favorite target.

Impact Harris had a fairly productive outing Saturday as he rushed for 87 yards, the most yards from scrimmage on the team. It's clear through three weeks that the Pirates' offense goes through Harris, and that will likely continue to be the case as the season progresses.
