Super Bowl champs return to work minus Miller, Ware

Updated Mar. 5, 2020 1:03 a.m. ET

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) The Super Bowl champions reconvened Monday minus Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware.

Miller is in California doing the jive with Lindsay Arnold on ''Dancing With The Stars.''

Ware is being feted in Alabama on Tuesday with a day in his honor.

Miller's two sack-strips led to Denver's only touchdowns and garnered him MVP honors in the Broncos' 24-10 smothering of the Carolina Panthers in the Super Bowl.

Ware had two sacks in that game.

The Broncos placed their exclusive franchise tag on Miller worth $14.129 million.

Miller is seeking a deal that would make him the NFL's highest-paid defensive player. That distinction belongs to Miami defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, whose deal is worth slightly more than $19 million a year.
