Missing top stars, Warriors, Spurs begin home-and-home pairThe San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors are expected to be missing some serious star power when they tip off a home-and-home series...
MARCH 9•STAR-TELEGRAM.COM
Cedi Osman - Unavailable for SaturdayOsman (ankle) is unavailable for Saturday's game against the Warriors.
ImpactOsman suffered a left ankle sprain during Thursday's game against the Kings and will miss at least one contest as a result. Osman plays a very small role for the Spurs, and it's likely that the team uses a committee approach to soak up those available minutes.

Blake Wesley - Efficient outing in lossWesley produced 11 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound, three assists, one block and one steal in 17 minutes during Thursday's 131-129 loss to Sacramento.
ImpactWelsey was efficient from the field and scored his most points since Jan. 24, which was much-needed for a Spurs squad playing without Victor Wembanyama (ankle). Wesley has played double-digit minutes in 23 of the Spurs' last 24 games, but he's averaging just 5.3 points, 3.3 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 16.7 minutes during that stretch.

Harrison Barnes - Efficient performance in winBarnes ended with 17 points (6-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound and two assists over 30 minutes during Thursday's 131-129 win over San Antonio.
ImpactBarnes is on pace to average his fewest points per game since his final year in Golden State (2015-16) and career lows in rebounds and assists. It hasn't been a good campaign for the veteran, but he has scored in double figures in seven of Sacramento's last eight games. However, he's still not doing enough overall to be a must-roster player in standard leagues despite averaging 29.3 minutes per game.
MARCH 8•ROTOWIRE
Kevin Huerter - Scoreless in winHuerter ended Thursday's 131-129 victory over the Spurs with zero points (0-5 FG, 0-3 3Pt), two rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 16 minutes.
ImpactFrom Jan. 14 through Feb. 26, Huerter averaged 14.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.3 steals-plus-blocks while shooting 43.7 percent from deep. However, since then, the sharpshooter is averaging just 5.2 points in 20.4 minutes per game while shooting 32.4 percent from the field. If his shot isn't falling, coach Mike Brown tends to give more minutes to Keon Ellis, Davion Mitchell and/or Chris Duarte, but if they continue to split time, none of the Kings' backup guards will have fantasy value.

Colby Jones - Sent back to G LeagueThe Kings assigned Jones to the G League's Stockton Kings on Friday, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
ImpactJones will return to the G League after a brief stint in the NBA. Jones is averaging 20.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.7 steals in 37.0 minutes across his 11 appearances for Stockton this season.
MARCH 8•ROTOWIRE
Kessler Edwards - Sent to G LeagueThe Kings assigned Edwards to the G League's Stockton Kings on Friday, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
ImpactEdwards has been an inconsistent part of Sacramento's rotation this season. However, the 23-year-old forward should receive increased playing time in the G League.
