Who is the favorite to win the 2016 U.S. Open at Oakmont?
The 2016 U.S. Open is getting back its reputation as the toughest test in golf with this year's intimidating track at Oakmont Country Club.
The beautifully designed course, which is filled with the "craziest greens" and "most penal fairway bunkers" Rickie Fowler said he has ever played, requires the utmost concentration and leaves little room for error.
Oakmont has been described as a "mentally demanding" course by some of the world's best competitors and has all of the characteristics of a typical tough and hard U.S. Open.
This weekend's tournament will certainly be must-see TV, especially since one bad drive could bury a player's chances at the U.S. Open trophy.
Even Vegas had trouble making the odds for this year's U.S. Open field, as there is a significant drop-off after the Big Three of Jason Day (13-2), Rory McIlroy (15-2) and defending champ Jordan Spieth (15-2). Dustin Johnson, who has yet to win a tournament this year, is the closest to the Big Three on the odds sheet at 12-1.
However, the rest of the field is wide open, sitting at 25-1 or worse on Wednesday morning's odds sheet from GolfOdds.com:
