New Jersey Devils goaltender Martin Brodeur could be out for two weeks with a bruised right elbow.

The Devils announced Saturday that an MRI on Brodeur's elbow was negative, but he was going to be out up to a maximum of two weeks.

Brodeur originally hurt the elbow in a recent game in Chicago and aggravated the injury in the second period of Thursday night's 3-1 loss in Toronto.

Mike McKenna, who was recalled from Albany of the AHL on an emergency basis, was scheduled to start for the Devils in St. Louis on Saturday night.
