David Krejci makes first return to Bruins practice
There was a welcome sight at Boston Bruins practice Monday morning: injured center David Krejci, who has been out with an upper-body injury since Dec. 27, made his first return to practice.
Although Krejci was wearing a green jersey common for Bruins players who are still injured, the Bruins announced Krejci will travel with the team to Montreal for Tuesday night's game. His status for that game remains unknown, although a team tweet about Krejci did not make a Tuesday return sound promising.
Krejci was having a strong year for the Bruins before suffering the injury, as he posted 33 points (11 goals, 22 assists) in 35 games. He still ranks third on the team in scoring despite missing the last few weeks of play.
Bruins forward David Pastrnak also joined Krejci on the ice for practice in a green jersey. Pastrnak has been out with an unknown upper-body injury since Jan. 13 and has played in just 13 games for the Bruins this year due to various injuries. He will also join Krejci and the Bruins on the trip to Montreal.
