Odell Beckham Jr. will be on the cover of 'Madden 16'

New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was just selected to appear on the cover of Madden 16, beating out New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski for the honors on Wednesday.
Considering Gronk’s popularity around the football world, this is somewhat of a surprise. However, Beckham Jr. is also coming off one of the greatest rookie seasons for a receiver in the history of the NFL.
He put up a ridiculous 91 receptions for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns in his first season with the Giants last year. What makes that even more amazing is the fact that the former first-round pick missed the first four games with an injury. Overall, he averaged a whopping 7.6 receptions and a league-leading 108.8 yards per outing.
For those Giants fans worried about a Madden jinx, don’t be. Seattle Seahawks corner Richard Sherman was chosen to appear on the cover last year. After he worked to get the entire Legion of Boom on the cover, Seattle proceeded to repeat as NFC champions.
