Former Broncos WR Welker doesn't 'regret' his time in Denver
Wes Welker has made it known he wants to reunite with Bill Belechick, Tom Brady and Co. back in New England.
That doesn't mean he regrets leaving the New England Patriots to join the Denver Broncos in 2013.
"It was tough (to leave), but I have no regrets about it," Welker told CSN New England. "It was hard to make that move, but I really enjoyed my time in Denver. I really enjoyed seeing that perspective of it, just being with that organization."
Welker enjoyed a fine first season with Peyton Manning throwing him the ball. He hauled in 73 receptions for 778 yards and 10 touchdowns as Denver made it to the Super Bowl.
Concussions and other injuries derailed his 2014 season. So, Welker will listen if any team comes calling for his services -- especially the Patriots.
“It’s a great organization, obviously, and a great team," Welker told The Boston Herald. "It wouldn’t be the worst situation in the world."
