Wizards' Armstrong, Heat's Howard ejected

Published Nov. 29, 2010 9:49 p.m. ET

Washington's Hilton Armstrong and Miami's Juwan Howard were ejected in the third quarter of the Wizards' game at Miami on Monday night.

Armstrong flagrantly fouled Heat center Joel Anthony, and since it was deemed a Category 2, he was ejected. Howard was sanctioned for pushing Armstrong in the back after Anthony hit the floor.

The play took place with 32.3 seconds left in the quarter.

Anthony got a pass from Mario Chalmers, only to be sent flying when Armstrong pushed him in the midsection with both hands. Armstrong was immediately called for the flagrant-2, and Howard was kicked out after referee Bill Kennedy reviewed the play on a video monitor.
