Will the Charlotte Hornets trade Al Jefferson?

Al Jefferson was a marquee free agent signing for the Charlotte Hornets two years ago. But over the past couple seasons, injuries and a league-wide shift away from plodding low-post scorers have marginalized Jefferson's ability to impact games.
Will he be back in Charlotte next year? Or, more importantly, will the Hornets look to trade him before February's deadline? Here's a closer look, courtesy of the Charlotte Observer:
Jefferson is having his worst season since he was 22 years old. His numbers are down across the board, and, at 31, he isn't getting any faster as a pick-and-roll defender.
But maybe there'll be a team out there that's looking for solid, dependable post play. If so, they should probably give Charlotte a call.
Jefferson makes $13.5 million in this, the final season on his contract. So a team looking to acquire him would likely be searching for a salary dump. The Hornets would have to acquire some considerable assets to justify not keeping his contract until it expires in July. Logically the top agenda item in the summer of 2016 would be re-signing Nic Batum. Retaining Batum will be expensive, and the Hornets aren’t looking to pay luxury tax if that is avoidable.
