What's the deal with Jeremy Lin's new haircut?

Since opening night, Charlotte Hornets point guard Jeremy Lin has sported several different hair styles. All of them funky in their own unique way.

But the spiked mohawk pails in comparison to, um, whatever this is:

Lin's individual statistics haven't been great lately, but surely this new haircut will help turn his season around.
