What will Frank Kaminsky's role be on Charlotte next season?

Frank Kaminsky is a big part of Charlotte's future. The Hornets drafted him with the ninth overall pick in June's draft—as the opportunity to grab multiple first-rounders from the Boston Celtics hung in the air—and figure to make Kaminsky a healthy part of their rotation.
But what exactly will his role be? Here's a look, courtesy of FanSided's Swarm and Sting:
"Even though Kaminsky is used to playing the center position from his days in college, he may be in for a position change in the NBA. He would be a slightly bigger power forward than most and a bit slower. But at the center position he might not be big enough to defend some of the other guys in the league. It is all still unclear at this point and it may resolve itself over the course of training camp and preseason games. And by the start of the season, the team’s line-up and rotation will definitely be set. Now depending on how each player performs throughout the season, the rotation will change accordingly."
Kaminsky's skill-set is valuable.
He's seven feet tall and can shoot threes. But defensively he'll have to bang against some of the league's beefier bodies, and nobody knows if the former Wisconsin Badger will hold up or not. Will his offensive ability outweigh his defensive shortcomings? Charlotte's season may hinge on it.
