Let's go back a long way—to March 27, 1996. Kevin Garnett is just 19 years old, a rookie averaging just 9.0 points per game but who has been on fire of late. But this was a special night for KG.

The NBA recently released a bunch of highlights from superstars' first 30-point games. One of those stars was Garnett, who put in 33 against the Celtics as the 1995-96 season came to a close. Here's what it looked like:

That 33-point performance sent Garnett on a major hot streak. He averaged 17.0 points and 8.9 rebounds per game over the final 14 contests of the year, with the 33-pointer starting it all.
