WATCH: Chris Paul dunks not once, but twice against Wizards

With Blake Griffin, the mayor of Lob City, sidelined for two to three weeks, the Los Angeles Clippers needed someone to step up and fill his void.

The obvious candidate is DeAndre Jordan, who actually dunks more than Griffin nowadays. Wesley Johnson and Josh Smith were two other solid choices.

But no saw this one coming: Chris Paul dunked not once, but twice in the Clips' 108-91 victory over the Washington Wizards on Monday.

Midway through the first quarter, Paul caught an outlet pass from Luc Mbah a Moute near and the free-throw line, glanced over at J.J. Redick running beside him, planted himself and dunked off two feet:

It wasn't the prettiest dunk, but when you're barely 6-feet tall, like Paul, that's impressive.

The play sparked a sense of confidence in Paul, who then decided to be daring and try out a dunk during a half-court set. Paul used a DeAndre Jordan screen to sneak by Marcin Gortat and Otto Porter, knifing his way into the lane and and-1 dunking on Kelly Oubre, Jr.:

Again, it wasn't the cleanest dunk. But that's to be expected from a lilliputian. The dunks marked Paul's first slams of the season, and only his third and fourth in the past three seasons.

Afterward, he decided to share the videos of him dunking on Instagram:

J.J. Redick then took to Twitter to sarcastically troll Paul, saying he should've been the one to dunk on the first play.

Paul told Clippers.com that he met his "quota" for the season with two dunks, but it looks like he's got more left in the tank and has been holding out on us.
