Warriors have chance to build momentum for road swing vs Jazz

The Golden State Warriors have an ample opportunity ahead of themselves against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night.

At 24-4, the Golden State Warriors are rolling toward yet another incredible regular season record. However, the San Antonio Spurs remain right on their heels much like last season and that means the Warriors can’t let up and have to keep piling up wins.

This is an important week for Golden State, as they play a game at home against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday night, along with three on the road. The last one of course is the Christmas Day game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

However, there is importance in each of these games for Golden State. It all starts against Utah on Tuesday night. While the Warriors already have beat Utah this season, adding yet another win over a Western Conference playoff team will continue to be a building block for this year’s version of the Warriors.

It will also help them keep pace ahead of the Spurs. The Warriors don’t want to be upset at home and then have to go on a road trip following a loss. Building a little momentum and then heading out onto the road is the perfect scenario here for Golden State.

Much like San Antonio, Golden State has been dominant on the road and that’s where they really got things rolling this season. They have two games against Brooklyn and Detroit before Cleveland and those are games the Warriors have to have.

The last game against Utah was an interesting one, considering the fact that Golden State built a huge lead only for Utah to erase the deficit and force a close game in Salt Lake City at the end. These two always seem to have close games and the Warriors getting a convincing win, should be the way they start their big week ahead.
