Ty Lawson and Kenneth Faried prefer to be traded

One tough aspect of any rebuilding process is deciding which players to keep and which ones to trade or release. In the case of the Denver Nuggets, the two players who fit into this debate are Kenneth Faried and Ty Lawson. Both are very good players, but they may not fit with Denver's new timeline. Luckily for the Nuggets, Lawson and Faried have apparently made their decisions for them, according to Basketball Insiders.

"Sources close to the process say Lawson and Faried have kept no secret of their discontent and unless the Nuggets can pull off something major on the coaching front or make a significant trade, both have indicated they’d rather see a trade instead of sticking around for a long rebuild."

Lawson's long been in trade rumors, and given how his season ended (not to mention how his offseason has gone so far), it's hard to imagine him starting next season in Denver. The Nuggets signed Faried to a massive contract extension, only for him to massively underwhelm and underperform this season. Their trade values aren't the highest, but at this point, the Nuggets need to get whatever they can for them.
