Tony Allen: I can't figure out James Harden

Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen is one of the best defenders in the NBA. He's known for locking up the world's very best scorers and magically turning their strengths into weaknesses. But in this recent interview with Bleacher Report's Jared Zwerling, Allen admits that Houston Rockets guard James Harden is one player he doesn't know how to stop.

"But one guy I haven't figured all the way out yet is James Harden. He's pretty crafty. I'm not impressed with his ball-handling, but his finishing skills are scary. Even though he's lefty, if he goes right he's going to put the ball out and get the foul. It's kind of tough because you don't want to get a foul called. And once you get your first or second foul, you kind of ease up."

The explanation is thorough and makes sense. Harden leads the NBA in scoring, and no player gets to the line more often. Still, don't be surprised if Allen comes out on top the next time these two do battle. Greatness can only be held down so many times.
