The Thunder selected Josh Huestis with the 29th overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, which should have meant a guaranteed contract of over $900,000 and a spot on the OKC roster.

But that's not what happened.

Thanks to a pre-draft arrangement, Huestis became the league's first "domestic draft-and-stash" player, and spent last season toiling in the D-League for a mere $25,000.

Huestis spent last year developing as planned, and now Oklahoma City has kept up its end of the agreement by inking him to a four-year, rookie scale contract to join the team next season.

“We are excited to add Josh to our roster as he allows us to continue to increase our depth through his athleticism and versatility,” Thunder GM Sam Presti said in the team's official release. “Josh knows our culture and our organization as a result of his time with the Blue and we look forward to his continued development with the Thunder.”

Huestis appeared in 44 games in the D-League last season, and averaged 10.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 blocked shots in 33.1 minutes per contest.
