Thunder F Serge Ibaka out with knee soreness

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Thunder forward Serge Ibaka will be out indefinitely with lingering soreness in his right knee.

A team spokesman said Monday that the Thunder consulted with Ibaka's representation and they agreed to have him see a specialist in New York. The team is in Dallas, where it will play the Mavericks on Monday night.

Ibaka has missed the past two games. He was playing well before that, averaging 17.1 points and 9.4 rebounds since the All-Star break and shooting 55 percent from the field. The team still is missing reigning MVP Kevin Durant, out with pain in his right foot.

The Thunder are one game ahead of the New Orleans Pelicans for the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference standings.
