The team made the announcement Wednesday, calling it a successful procedure.

Kanter, who was acquired on Feb. 19 from the Utah Jazz, started all 26 games after the deal and averaged 18.7 points and 11.0 rebounds while shooting 57 percent from the field. He also played through soreness in his left ankle late in the season. He was a key contributor to the Thunder's 45-37 finish after Serge Ibaka went down with what turned out to be season-ending surgery on his right knee.

Overall, the fourth-year center played in 75 games with Utah and Oklahoma City, averaging 15.5 points and 8.9 rebounds per contest, both career highs.
