Lee split time between the Celtics and Mavericks last season, averaging 7.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in 55 games. The 33-year-old last made an All-Star team in 2013 while a member of the Warriors.
The Spurs lost three key pieces of their front court over the summer, with Tim Duncan retiring, David West signing with the Warriors and Boris Diaw being traded to the Jazz.
Lee is one of just three players to have at least 10,000 points, 6,000 rebounds and 1,500 assists in the past 10 seasons, joining new Spur Pau Gasol and Duncan.
