Spurs forward Jefferson out vs. Hornets

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich says starting forward Richard Jefferson is sitting out Monday's game at New Orleans.

Jefferson had played in all 39 of San Antonio's games this season but had his worst game since 2006 during the their loss Saturday night in Memphis, going 0 for 6 from the field.

Jefferson is San Antonio's third-leading scorer at 12.8 points per game.
