See for yourself: Spurs mascot loses fake eyes after collision

Being a mascot can be hazardous for your health.
We’ve seen instances time and again where mascots in the line of sports fire take a licking and keep on ticking. But never do we see one take a charge in an NBA game – and really pay the price for it.
That’s what happened in the Spurs’ 108-103 win over the Nuggets on Wednesday night. ‘The Coyote’ got tangled up on the baseline, and things didn’t end well. Check it out below.

Speaking of which, coyotes in the desert sometimes don’t fare well historically. The Spurs’ mascot and his woes brought to mind another famous coyote, who seemed to always survive his adventures, too.
Guess things could have been worse for our pal in San Antonio, after all.
