Point guard Mo Williams has agreed to a new deal with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to a report from USA Today.

Williams, according to the report, will sign a two-year deal with the Blazers that will pay him $5.6 million, with the second season being a player option.

The 30-year-old Williams averaged 12.9 points and 6.2 assists per game while starting at point guard for the Utah Jazz during the 2012-13 season. Williams missed more than two months during the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb.

Williams, who has played for the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Clippers during his 10-year NBA career, is expected to back up starting point guard Damian Lillard, who was the NBA's 2013 Rookie of the Year.
