Report: Smith to sign with Pistons

Free-agent forward Josh Smith has agreed to a four-year $56 million deal with the Detroit Pistons, league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Saturday.

Smith, 27, has spent the past nine seasons with the Atlanta Hawks, who drafted him 17th overall out of high school in the 2004 draft.

Smith has averaged 15.3 points, 8 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 2.1 blocks per game for the Hawks.

Smith will join a young nucleus in Detroit that includes forward forward Greg Monroe and center Andre Drummond.
