Report: Hinkie is 'head over heels' for Kristaps Porzingis

With the third overall pick in next week's draft, the Philadelphia 76ers and general manager Sam Hinkie are in a fantastic spot to grab a franchise-altering talent. But he who the Sixers desire may not be the prospect most expect.

According to SB Nation's 76ers blog Liberty Ballers, Hinkie knows exactly who he wants:

"On top of that, Liberty Ballers has received more confirmation on the Sixers interest in the 19-year-old. Word amongst higher up members of the Sixers front office is that Sam Hinkie is essentially head-over-heels for Porzingis, who played with Sevilla in the Spanish ACB this season."

This could be one giant, well-calculated fabrication to lure other teams into offering Hinkie their own first-round pick plus some more goodies to move up into the third slot, or it could be the truth.

The world will find out on draft night.
