Report: Aussies reject Odom's services

Australian National Basketball League team the Sydney Kings rejected an offer from locked-out NBA star Lamar Odom to play for the team Friday night, The (Sydney) Daily Telegraph reported.
The Los Angeles Lakers forward this week was tagging along with his wife, Khloe Kardashian, and sister-in-law Kim on their tour of Australia — a visit that was set to end prematurely after Kim late Thursday decided to fly back to the US early, amid media frenzy about the end of her marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries.
Odom had approached Kings club management about appearing on a one-off "import" basis, but he was rebuffed in favor of local players.
"We thought the offer was more sideshow than substance," Kings spokesman David Wolf said.
"We invited him to the game, and there's always room in The Kingdome for the Kardashian entourage ... but to sideline a local player wasn't going to work."
Australian Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut pledged his allegiance to the Kings last month, but failed to find an insurance policy to cover his NBA contract.
